Take the day off from the kitchen. We serve a multi-course traditional Italian Christmas lunch with festive classics and Italian specialities. Relax with your family in our central dining room while our team looks after every detail.
Christmas Party
Designed for office teams, department gatherings, and festive reunions throughout November and December. Our party set menus feature freshly prepared regional pasta, wood-fired mains, and traditional Italian dolci, accompanied by a full wine and aperitivo selection.
New Year’s Eve Celebrations
Celebrate the arrival of the New Year on your own terms. We avoid set packages and inflated seatings on 31 December, offering our complete authentic à la carte menu instead. Enjoy hand-stretched Neapolitan pizzas, charcoal-grilled meats, fresh seafood, and Italian sparkling wines right up until midnight.
Christmas Shopping in Birmingham: Rest, Refuel, and Unpack Your Bags
Birmingham city centre transforms into the region’s main retail hub throughout December. Whether you are browsing jewellery in the Burlington Arcade, visiting the flagship Apple Store on New Street, picking up gifts from DJI, or stocking up at Selfridges, Harvey Nichols, and Boots, gift shopping in the city is an endurance sport.
We open daily from 12 noon and offer a comfortable seat when your arms are full. Our tables have plenty of space for your shopping bags, boxes, and coats. Sit down over a glass of Ripasso or an espresso, recharge your phone, review your gift list, and identify the items you inevitably forgot before heading back out.
Step Off the German Market and Out of the Winter Chill
Every winter, Birmingham’s city centre is taken over by the wooden chalets, festive lights, and aromas of the Frankfurt Christmas Market. Birmingham Town Hall stands bathed in seasonal illuminations, creating one of the most striking backdrops in the West Midlands.
While the market stalls, bratwurst, and glühwein are ideal for a quick festive stroll, navigating the dense crowds in the cold can take its toll. Tucked just behind New Street on Ethel Street, La Galleria offers a proper sit-down haven. Trade crowded walkways for a warm table, proper cutlery, authentic Neapolitan pizza from our wood oven, and classic Italian hospitality.

Getting Here: Transport Links on Our Doorstep
You will struggle to find a more accessible dining room in the city centre:
- Birmingham New Street Station: Less than a two-minute walk. Step straight off your train or out of Grand Central onto Stephenson Street and turn onto Ethel Street.
- The West Midlands Metro (Tram): The Town Hall and Grand Central tram stops are less than a minute away on foot. A brisk, straight walk when sober, perhaps an extra minute or two if you have enjoyed a couple of festive Negronis or glasses of Prosecco. If you find yourself swaying slightly on your way back to the platform, think of it as bonus steps on your smartwatch ahead of the New Year’s health kick.
